The 2006 Porsche Cayenne Turbo is a first-generation (955) high-performance, full-size luxury SUV that combined supercar-level acceleration with legitimate off-road capabilities. It served as a pioneer for the modern hyper-SUV segment, blending Porsche's sports car heritage with everyday utility.

Unlike many modern luxury crossovers, the 2006 Cayenne Turbo was heavily engineered for rugged terrain. It offers a full-time all-wheel-drive system with a 38:62 front-to-rear power split, and is equipped with a true two-speed transfer case providing low-range gearing and a locking center differential. It also features a height-adjustable air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) to adjust damping on the fly.

As the top-tier trim for most of its production run, the Turbo came fully optioned from the factory with full leather seating, alcantara headliner, heated front and rear seats, premium 14-speaker Bose surround sound system, and bi-xenon high-intensity discharge headlights.

Power is delivered by a 4.5L twin-turbocharged V8 engine producing 450 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Power is routed to all four wheels full-time via a two-speed transfer case linked to a six-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission.
