The 2010 Porsche Panamera is a premium, full-size luxury sport sedan that marked Porsche's first-ever foray into the four-door passenger car market. Positioned as a four-seat grand tourer, it combined the high-performance DNA and sharp handling of a Porsche sports car with the long-distance comfort, usability, and cargo space of a large hatchback.

The Panamera was highly distinctive and somewhat controversial when it debuted due to its unique silhouette, which features a stretched, fastback roofline designed to maximize passenger headroom without sacrificing cargo capacity.

The interior layout was highly praised for its luxurious leather upholstery and a center console stacked with physical buttons modeled after a private jet cockpit. As a strict four-seater, the Panamera featured four deeply bolstered, sports-car-style bucket seats in both the front and rear, separated by a continuous center console running down the middle of the cabin.

The Panamera S features standard 18-inch alloy wheels and an active rear spoiler that automatically extends at highway speeds to increase stability. It could also be optioned with the Sport Chrono Package for quicker shifts, sharper throttle response, and a firmer suspension setup.

Power is delivered by a 4.8-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 400 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque, and routed to the rear wheels via a 7-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch automatic transmission. It offers a 0-60 MPH time of 5.1 seconds and a top speed of approximately 175 MPH.
