The 2013 Volkswagen Beetle Turbo Fender Edition is a limited-production variant of Volkswagen's iconic hatchback, combining turbocharged performance with distinctive styling inspired by Fender's legendary electric guitars. Developed through a collaboration between Volkswagen and Fender, the special edition was produced in approximately 2,500 examples worldwide and features a collection of exclusive exterior and interior appointments that distinguish it from the standard Beetle Turbo.

The Fender Edition was offered exclusively in Deep Black Pearl paint, complemented by brushed-chrome side mirrors, Fender badging on the front fenders, bi-xenon headlights, a rear spoiler, and distinctive 18-inch disc-style alloy wheels. Its understated exterior treatment combines the Beetle's retro-inspired design with subtle references to Fender's classic instruments.

Inside, the centerpiece is a unique Sunburst-finish dashboard, inspired by the lacquered woodgrain finishes found on vintage Fender Stratocaster and Telecaster guitars. The cabin also features exclusive Titan Black V-Tex leatherette and patterned cloth upholstery with contrasting stitching, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and Volkswagen's Premium VIII touchscreen infotainment system.

A defining feature of the Fender Edition is its specially developed 400-watt premium audio system. Featuring nine speakers, a 10-channel amplifier, and a trunk-mounted Fender Bassman subwoofer, the system was engineered to deliver a rich, detailed listening experience. Fender branding and the distinctive interior trim further reinforce the connection to the celebrated American musical instrument manufacturer.

Power is delivered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine producing 200 horsepower and 207 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 6-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The Turbo model also features a sport-tuned suspension and Volkswagen's XDS electronic differential lock system, which uses selective braking intervention to improve traction and reduce understeer during cornering.
