The 2017 Volkswagen Touareg is a refined 5-seat luxury SUV that shares a platform with the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7. It serves as the final model year in North America before discontinuation, featuring a 280-hp 3.6L V6 engine, 4MOTION all-wheel drive, and an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Wolfsburg Edition replaced the Lux trim for 2017, focusing on offering a high level of equipment for a lower price point than the top-tier Executive trim. It includes unique Wolfsburg badging, stainless steel pedals, brushed aluminum trim, black headliner, special contrast stitching on mats and steering wheel, and 20-inch "Tarragona" diamond-turned alloy wheels.
