The 1999 Lexus ES 300 is a midsize luxury sedan that combines understated styling with an emphasis on ride comfort, cabin refinement, and everyday usability. Introduced for the 1997 model year, this generation shared its underlying platform with the Toyota Camry while featuring distinctive exterior styling, additional sound insulation, and a more upscale interior. The 1999 model year also introduced several updates, including revised exterior details and improvements to the vehicle's powertrain.

Power is delivered by a naturally aspirated 3.0-liter DOHC V6 engine producing 210 horsepower and 220 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The 1MZ-FE V6 features Toyota's Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i), which adjusts intake camshaft timing according to engine operating conditions. The ES 300 also utilizes a four-wheel independent MacPherson strut suspension with front and rear stabilizer bars.

This example features leather seating, a power sunroof, dual power-adjustable front seats with driver memory, automatic climate control, HomeLink garage door controls, and automatic headlights. Additional equipment includes Bluetooth connectivity, auxiliary and USB audio inputs, keyless entry, cruise control, and 16-inch five-spoke chrome wheels.
