The 2003 Lincoln Town Car is a full-size American luxury sedan representing the third generation of Lincoln's long-running flagship nameplate. The 2003 model year introduced a substantial chassis and suspension update, including a redesigned frame, revised steering system, and improved suspension geometry. Built on Ford's rear-wheel-drive Panther platform, the Town Car retains traditional body-on-frame construction, a spacious six-passenger cabin, and the understated styling characteristic of Lincoln's flagship sedans.
Power is supplied by a naturally aspirated 4.6-liter SOHC V8 engine producing 239 horsepower and 287 lb-ft of torque, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels. The Town Car features a four-wheel independent suspension, power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes. Its long wheelbase and comfort-oriented suspension tuning emphasize a smooth, quiet ride and relaxed highway cruising.
The Signature trim features leather seating, woodgrain interior accents, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, and a range of convenience features.
