The 2015 Subaru Outback 3.6R Limited is a five-passenger midsize crossover wagon known for its combination of passenger-car comfort, all-weather capability, and practical cargo versatility. Its distinctive wagon body style incorporates standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, and raised roof rails with integrated, swing-in-place crossbars. The Outback also earned a 2015 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK+ award when equipped with optional EyeSight, reflecting its strong crashworthiness and available crash-prevention technology.

Power is supplied by a 3.6-liter DOHC 24-valve horizontally opposed six-cylinder BOXER engine producing 256 horsepower and 247 lb-ft of torque, paired with a Lineartronic continuously variable transmission featuring manual-mode paddle shifters. Subaru's Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive system distributes power to all four wheels, while X-MODE and Hill Descent Control provide additional assistance on slippery surfaces and steep descents. The chassis features independent MacPherson strut front suspension, independent double-wishbone rear suspension, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes, electronic stability control, and traction control.
