The 2008 Mazda Mazda3 i Touring is a five-passenger compact sedan known for its responsive handling, sporty driving characteristics, distinctive styling, and practical interior design. Developed on Ford's global C1 platform, shared with the Ford Focus and Volvo S40, the first-generation Mazda3 was engineered to provide a more engaging driving experience than many traditional economy cars. Its rigid unibody construction, independent suspension, and precise steering contribute to its reputation for nimble handling and composed road manners. The exterior features Mazda's signature five-point grille, swept-back headlamps, and sculpted body lines, while the cabin combines a driver-oriented dashboard with comfortable seating and useful passenger and cargo space.

Power is supplied by a 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve MZR four-cylinder engine producing 148 horsepower and 135 lb-ft of torque, paired with a four-speed automatic transmission driving the front wheels. The engine features electronic fuel injection, variable valve timing, and an aluminum-alloy construction designed to balance performance, durability, and fuel efficiency. The Mazda3's chassis incorporates MacPherson strut front suspension and an independent multilink rear suspension, providing a combination of responsive handling and ride comfort. Additional mechanical and safety features include power-assisted rack-and-pinion steering and front disc brakes.

The i Touring trim adds several convenience features to the Mazda3's practical compact-sedan layout, including air conditioning, cruise control, power windows and door locks, power-adjustable side mirrors, remote keyless entry, and a tilt-and-telescoping steering column. The audio system includes an AM/FM radio, CD player, and auxiliary audio input, while the 60/40 split-folding rear seat allows longer cargo items to be accommodated through the trunk. Exterior equipment includes 16-inch twin-spoke alloy wheels. This Mazda3 has had two previous owners, including one who retained it for 14 years, and has remained Oklahoma-owned since new.
