The 2007 Lincoln MKZ is a midsize luxury sedan built on the same architecture as the Ford Fusion and Mazda 6, serving as an upscale, feature-rich entry-level luxury cruiser. It offered a smooth, quiet ride geared toward buyers looking for American luxury without the massive footprint or price tag of a full-size vehicle.

The MKZ originally debuted for the 2006 model year under the name "Lincoln Zephyr" before being rebranded as the MKZ for 2007 to align with Lincoln's alphanumeric naming scheme.

The 2007 MKZ was available in a single trim level but came heavily equipped right out of the gate. Notable cabin details included standard leather upholstery, genuine wood trim, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and dual-zone automatic climate control, along with side-impact airbags, side-curtain airbags, traction control, and anti-lock brakes.

The MKZ is powered exclusively by a 3.5-liter Duratec V6 producing 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, yielding 19 city / 27 highway MPG. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
