The 2008 Ford Taurus X is a three-row, full-size crossover utility vehicle (or tall wagon) produced by Ford for the 2008 and 2009 model years. It was essentially a refreshed and renamed version of the Ford Freestyle, rebranded to align with the revival of the Taurus nameplate across Ford's car lineup at the time.

The Taurus X was designed as a family-friendly alternative to bulky SUVs and minivans, borrowing structural underpinnings from Volvo, and combining the passenger and cargo versatility of a minivan and station wagon with the ride height and appearance of an SUV.

It features seating for up to 7 passengers, "Command Seating" (theater-style elevated 2nd and 3rd row seating for better visibility), a flat-folding front passenger seat capable of hauling items up to 10 feet long, and fold-flat second and third-row seats.

The SEL trim level came equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 6-way power driver's seat, cloth upholstery, AM/FM stereo with a CD player and an auxiliary audio input jack, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls as standard equipment.

Power is delivered by a 3.5-liter Duratec V6 engine producing 263 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque, and sent to the front wheels via a 6-speed automatic transmission.
